How To Shoot A Basketball
When playing basketball, you will want to score, sooner or later. It is no wonder that from the biggest players up to those that just practice basketball in the schoolyard, they all try to achieve that perfect shot. But practice, as important as it is, must be accompanied by the right technique, and here is the one that is most popular and most effective. Players like to exercise this technique and they call it BEEF, as it is easier to remember all the steps.

B. For this posture, you need to achieve balance. The legs must be open up to shoulder width and the knees should come slightly bent. You can do through things from this position: you can dribble, you can pass or you can shoot. These possibilities give it the name the triple threat position.

E. For this, you need to place the elbow under the ball, and the ball has to be on the fingertips and not on the palm of your hand.

E. The other 'E' is for your eyes, which need to be on the rim, exactly on the rim.

F. 'F' stands for follow through. This means that you need to keep the off hand on the side of the ball, but only for guidance. When you use your hand to shoot, keep the fingers all spread out, but without any additional tension. For a good looking shoot, perform a backspin: just flick your wrists and you will see how easy is to twirl the ball backward.

Now, for the shoot!

Use the dominant hand to hold the ball. The other hand will be on the side of the ball. While you aim the shot with one hand, you can guide it with the other.

When you aim for your perfect shot, visualize how you throw the ball and score, without touching the rim or the backboard.

For an angled shot, here is a tip. Aim for the boxed area of the backboard. Make the ball to bounce off the glass, and directly into the hoop.

There are things to be considered when you want to perform the perfect shoot. Your arm strength and elevation are among these things. Measure how much force you need to apply to acquire your final result. A lot of practice will help.

Your legs are powerful, and powerful equipment when you play basketball. Bend the knees and then push off the toes when you aim for the shot.

Any defensive stance may transform into an offensive opportunity. You will have to follow the shot by taking the ball and run towards the basket after a miss.

We cannot stress enough how important is to practice a lot in order to acquire the perfect shot. You must not practice only the shot, but the dribble as well. Try to shoot from different angles and practice shots with the backboard. If you are passionate about basketball, you can try to practice with situations that you have seen in your favorite matches.
