How to be a top football (soccer) coach
Keep Hands-On With Your Keeper

Charlton’s goalkeeping coach Mike Kelly reckons the training of custodians should compose of three parts: one-on-ones, saving shots and crosses in a small group and, finally, working in match situations. “It’s like a jigsaw,” says Kelly. “They need all three components if they’re going to improve.” Remember, coaching your keeper is like making love in a laundrette. It’s awkward at times but in the end you should wind up with clean sheets.
